Afine Investments Limited was formed in early 2021 to create a holding company for a specialist real estate investment trust, better known as a REIT, focusing on the petrol filling station sector in South Africa.
Afine was established by well-known investors and managers in the REIT space, who have operated both in South Africa and internationally over the past 25 years.
The first investments were the acquisition of five petrol filling station properties from various vendors in February 2021. A further two properties were acquired in May 2021 as well as an additional two properties in March 2022. The majority of the properties are operating in the top 10% of fuel sales in South Africa.
The objective is to grow Afine going forward with the acquisition of further petrol filling station properties that fit the investment strategy.
